Keep the Radio Flyer Wagon Tradition Going! Give a Personalized Radio Flyer Wagon

Personalized baby gifts are the Hollywood rage, as they should be for everyone. Parents-to-be, no matter if they are "famous" or not, will be flattered that you took the extra step in giving a personalized baby gift.

There are many different personalized baby gifts on the market but the personalized Radio Flyer Wagon will sure to hold a special place of honor. Kids love wagons and these wagons are full of wonderful items for the baby.

The Radio Flyer Wagon Company is 93 years old and operates under the leadership of the third generation of the Pasin family. The founder, Antonio Pasin started his business at the age of 16 both building and selling his wares. In honor of the Statue of Liberty, Pasin named his first wagons Liberty Coasters. The actual name Radio Flyer came about in the 1930's due to his fascination with the invention of the radio and his awe of flight.

As so many industries were asked of when the United States entered World War II, the Radio Flyer Company converted to making wartime products. Instead of mass production of wagons they produced blitz cans. These cans served as five gallon containers which were used for containing either fuel or water. They were mounted either on tanks, trucks or jeeps all over Europe, the Pacific and Africa.

After the war, the Radio Flyer Company went back to producing wagons and by the 1950's became a household name.

If you were not aware that there is a Toy Industry Hall of Fame you are now, and Antonio Pasin holds the honor of becoming the 44th toy innovator to be inducted. That is an amazing feat coming from an Italian immigrant starting his career at the age of 16!

So, salute to this accomplishment and keep the tradition going; give a personalized Radio Flyer Wagon to the next baby in your life! Who knows where it may take them?
